Nancy Blanton

GYM DIRECTOR - Nancy Blanton
Gym Director, Nancy Blanton holds a BSc Honors in Sports Science and a post graduate diploma in Leisure Management. Overseeing all operational aspects of Fundy Gymnastics, she ensures the Club is functioning on a day to day basis, year round.

Nancy was a member of the Great Britain, National Team representing her country in many international competitions and was British Champion of the Uneven Bars in 1985.

Nancy is WAG Comp Intro Advanced Certified with Gymnastics Canada and Competition 2 Trained Coach with Gymnastics Canada.

Her hobbies include travelling and working out at the gym.

Nick Blanton

HEAD COACH - Nick Blanton
Head Coach Nick Blanton holds a BSc Recreation Management and Leisure and a Minor in Coaching, from James Madison University. He competed competitively with JMU as a member of the Varsity Men's Gymnastics Team where he qualified for NCAA Championships in 2000 and 2001.

He is a Competition Level 4 Certified coach with Gymnastics Canada, a UK Level 5 High-Performance Certified coach within British Gymnastics and an American Sport Education Program (ASEP) Certified coach within the USA. Within coach education he is a NCCP Learning Facilitator, a NCCP Evaluator and was a contributor to the Professional Coach Development (PCD) Program at International Gymnastics Camp, in Stroudsburg, Pa.

He has a passion for teaching gymnastics to participants of all ages and abilities and coach education. His hobbies include playing guitar, listening to live music, reading and spending time with his  family.

Warren Bisbee

COACH - Warren Bisbee
A graduate from the University of New Brunswick in Anthropology with 20 years’ experience as a competitive coach for both Men’s and Women’s Artistic gymnastics.  Warren has coached across the country, ranging from National training facilities to teaching out of a schoolroom for the local YMCA.  

Warren loves to experiment with new drills and progressions, circuit setups and new coaching paradigms.  He is a trained Learning Facilitator for competitive gymnastics as well as a trained judge. He has also worked as a senior IT consultant for almost 10 years.

Katey Day

COACH - Katey Day
Katey Day is an elementary school teacher, originally from Kingston, ON who moved to the East Coast in 2019. She graduated from Queen’s University’s Concurrent Education Program with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography in 2018 & a Bachelor of Education in 2019. She loves sharing her love of learning with the students in her classroom & her passion for the sport of gymnastics with the athletes she coaches. Katey competed as a provincial level gymnast until the age of seventeen and began coaching at the age of thirteen. She is an NCCP Level 2 Certified Women’s Artistic & Trampoline Coach, and a Compulsory Level 1-5 Women’s Artistic Judge. Outside of teaching and coaching she enjoys pilates, camping, & spending time with friends and family.

Kelsie Blacquier

COACH - Kelsie Blacquier
Kelsie has been coaching with Fundy Gymnastics since 2013 as a recreational/WAG competitive coach .

She holds a B.Sc in Kinesiology (2020) from UNB, as well as a B.Ed (2021) from St. Thomas University.

She is Competition 1 Trained Coach with Gymnastics Canada.

Her hobbies include spending time with friends, being physically active, boating, camping, and travelling.
